Sometimes when I close my eyes I pretend I’m alright, but it’s never enough
– Jason Walker, Echo
When I close my eyes, everything disappears.
My head is cleared, and the velvety feel of the inside of mind becomes a welcomed paradise. Without vision to distract me, I can picture blue skies, fluffy clouds, and feel the wind in my hair.
Blind to the real world, I can ‘see’ the sun warming my skin, hear the gravel under my feet, and feel the heat burning my soles.
Inside my mind, I create the world as I want it; without fault or as imperfect as I wish it to be.
When I open my eyes, nothing is ever enough.
